Dr. Deanna Foster

 Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. 

I am a licensed psychologist with ~30 years of expertise as a treating practitioner, a forensic psychologist, and an executive coach/consultant. 

I earned my doctorate degree from the University of Southern California in 1993, graduating magna cum laude. After becoming licensed in California and completing my post-doctoral fellowship in clinical evaluation and treatment at Kaiser Permanente, I pivoted to organizational consulting and assisted executives in building teams and creating a shared vision throughout the organization. In this role, I provided consultations and presentations to Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States, as well as in Europe and Asia.

Having extensive experience in organizational dynamics, I was well prepared for assessing emotional distress within the context of the employer-employee relationship. This laid the groundwork for my certification as a State-appointed Qualified Medical Examiner with California’s Department of Industrial Relations. I conducted hundreds of independent medical exams in this role as a psychologist. This equipped me for expanding my role into civil litigation as an expert in emotional distress, retained by both defense and plaintiff firms. 

In my clinical practice, I offer a broad spectrum of treatment options for clients struggling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, anger management, adjustment-related disorders, interpersonal relationship discord, and dysfunctional or compulsive patterns of behavior. In 2016, I was granted certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional by the International Association of Trauma Professionals for completing advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of patients suffering from trauma. I offer individual, couples, family systems, and career counseling.

 I am licensed to practice in both California and Colorado and am authorized to perform telehealth psychological services in most states.
